Ben Moore is a Professor of Astrophysics at the Institute of Theoretical Physics at the University of Zurich. His research is centered around the understanding of the origins and evolution of the universe and how stars, planets, and galaxies form.
Moore and his team use supercomputer such as the zBox to create spectacular simulations of their findings, such as the formation of matter. His recently published book Elefanten im All describes the history and future of life and the universe. He also creates electro-rock music under the name “Professor Moore” and will be releasing his newest album later this year.
Prof. Moore has given many speeches and written various articles and journals, all of which can be found on his website. We are excited to have him at TEDxYouth@Adliswil and have him share the story of the universe.
During TEDxYouth@Adliswil, Ben will present the history and future of life and the universe, and describe our place in time and space, how we got here, and where we are going. He will take you on a journey from the beginning of time to the end of the universe to uncover our origins and reveal our destiny. As our universe grows older and its stars fade away and stop shining, can life continue for eternity or is all life destined for complete extinction?
